For today’s episode I’m sitting down with actor Peter Facinelli. Before he was cast as the head of a certain vampire family in one of the highest grossing film franchises of all time, Peter wanted to be lawyer. But after realizing that a life practicing law wasn’t at all like what he’d seen on TV, he discovered his love for acting—which as he shares, served his desire for attention, but also to disappear into becoming other people----which he has now done for the past 25 years. From his roles in Twilight, Nurse Jackie, and Can’t Hardly Wait, to all the jobs that didn’t quite work out, we chat about the subjectivity of art and how one seemingly “lost” job can open the door to even greater opportunities.

Looking back on his 25 year career, he shares how he chooses what to do next, when to say no, and what producing and directing has taught him about giving back.
