This week, the headlines in the UK have been dominated by one particular fella. #MozTheMonster emerged into our lives, marking the beginning of the festive period on these shores in a time honoured, uber-capitalist manner, and sending us into a vortex of nostalgia.

We are, of course, talking about the John Lewis Christmas advert. Sickly sweet and acoustically soundtracked by Elbow, it's traditional fare that has become a staple of this time of year, but it wasn't always like this. Adverts of the past were fun, mad and came rammed with huge tunes (or at least some did), and this week that's exactly what we're chatting about.

With tunes from the likes of Gaz Coombes, Man Like Me and even Elvis himself, it's a whopper of an episode and not one to miss. So sit back, relax and try to forget about that monster lurking under your bed. Until next week, Tim & Harry x
