In the world of music, there are a number of certainties. As sure as summer follows spring, Mick Jagger will live forever, Moby will never grow hair, Coldplay always be bad, and the Gallagher brothers will always, always have beef. These are inescapable facts, and this week we're concentrating on the last of them.

As Noel and Liam Gallagher go head-to-head once more in the arenas of new music, new outbursts and new Gallagher-ness, we assess the two individuals. Hitting on their varied contributions to popular culture over the years and, of course, their new material, we move towards crowing one of them King and very nearly get there. An exceptional achievement on our part, we think you'll agree.
