Susan’s relieved to report that she’s managed to persuade Lynda that Lily’s king should enter the Mysteries on horseback. Susan intends to enter leading a white charger. She’s hoping to get Johnny to delete the photograph he took for the Bridge Farm Christmas card. She confronts Johnny in the milking parlour, where to her alarm a cow deposits on her. She reveals to Tony and Johnny that this has given her second thoughts about leading a horse in the Mysteries. She and animals simply do not mix. At the Tearoom, Hazel looks forward to becoming a regular customer. Fallon recalls how Hazel evicted her from the flat above the shop, and tries to get Hazel to sympathise with Tom and Natasha. They’re not just having to find a new home, they’re also trying to move Summer Orchard to Ambridge. Natasha works so hard already, often into the night, and the shop frequently signs for Summer Orchard deliveries. Fallon’s well-intentioned comments backfire. Hazel realises that this will allow her to invoke a clause in their lease stating the flat must not be used for commercial purposes. She informs Tom that she’d be justified in terminating within a fortnight, but generously offers to give them a month, as they’re family. Tom’s furious – is she determined to ruin their Christmas?! Hazel advises him to study his tenancy agreement before casting her as Scrooge. Natasha's determined to fight back. First she’ll confront the person she’s convinced is responsible for tipping Hazel off.
