When the mighty empire of MySpace fell in the mid 2010's, a void opened on the internet. Millions of musicians and fans, hungry to share the tunes they were making and the stuff they loved, needed a new home, and it was a bunch of clever Swedes in Stockholm who built them one.

For nearly a decade, SoundCloud has been the go-to place to find fresh, exciting and unbelievably diverse music from artists from all around the world, and this week we're paying tribute to it.

With news circulating of the site's possible demise, we take the opportunity to present a loveletter of sorts to the plaform that has introduced us to some of the exhilirating music to get our eardrums bouncing over the last few years.

Long live Soundcloud. Long live Chance The Rapper. And, most importantly, long live Tracks. Until next week x
