15 years ago the wondrous city of Liverpool bestowed an enormous honour upon one of its most famous sons: renaming their airport as 'Liverpool John Lennon'. Fitting, touching and perfect, and an anniversary well worth celebrating.

So as our tribute to the great man, we decided to pick our favourite Lennon tunes, some new music influenced by his everlasting legacy and some artists who we feel may (or may not) deserve similar tributes in their hometowns.
