(Please subscribe to this podcast.  Thanks!) Are you stuck? Does it look like there is no way out? Are obstacles too big? Are your competitors winning? Know that others have been in your situation. And know that people like Kaihan Krippendorff of OUTTHINKER, have thought long to create a process to get you or your company unstuck. His specific process involves using your imagination, looking where others are not looking, dissecting the details. While Kaihan and his team work primarily with corporations, he has written extensively on the subject since 2004. His current book is OUTTHINK THE COMPETION, with OUTTHINK FLASH CARDS so you can adapt the process to your company. He’s also published articles on the subject in Fast Company and the Harvard Business Review Kaihan’s previous three books are Hide A Dagger Behind A Smile, The Way of Innovation: Master the Five Elements of Change to Reinvent Your Products, Services, and Organization; and The Art of the Advantage. Kaihan grew up in a German/Bangladeshi home. His father was 12 years old at the end of WWII moving from town to town to avoid bombings, and came to the US to become a professor and leader in the field of Cybernetics. His mother was active in the movement to stop the genocide of 3 million people in Bangladesh by Pakistan in 1971, and stayed active working around the world with the United Nations. I was happy to hear that out of all the modes of communication Kaihan uses, he enjoys the structured interview such as The Immigrant Entrepreneurs.  First, while it has boundaries, it draws out unexpected insights. Secondly, he enjoys extracting the key points to a written document. In this interview, we also get into: How Mohammed Yunus came to know Kaihan and recommend his book. Why he loves the book The War of Art. What he learned from his father:  How to keep work like you’re 35 when you’re 85 What he learned from his mother: To Fight The Advantages of an Arranged Marriage His German and Bangladeshi Secret Sauce Enjoy!
