This week marks 5 years since Manchester legends The Stone Roses announced they were returning from a 15 year hiatus. It was a moment of massive excitement for us as fans of the band, and we decided to mark the anniversary with an episode all about the comeback.

As is usually the case, we picked three songs each on our theme, and this week our shouts were pretty huge (even if we do say so ourselves). Blur, Sleater-Kinney, Pulp, De La Soul, The Libertines and Mink Muscle Creek all receive praise in an episode bursting with huge tunes.

Away from that, there are musical highlights of the week from Donald Glover in the form of his new TV show Atlanta, and from the BBC's World Service podcast.
