This week, we review the intellectual romantic fantasy thriller (a very niche subgenre), “The Adjustment Bureau.” Join us as we discuss the film’s inventive plot devices, the theme of fate vs. free will, comparisons between the film and the short story (by Philip K. Dick) that the film is based on, memorable quotes, and most importantly, the impressive & believable chemistry between Matt Damon and Emily Blunt in the protagonist roles.

Along the way, we also go on tangents comparing Matt Damon to Leonardo DiCaprio and “The Adjustment Bureau” to “Dark City” and “The American President.”

Grab your magic portal hats and your magic paper notebooks as we turn the door knobs to the left and explore the mysteries of…The Adjustment Bureau.

Update (Thursday 01 December 2022):  Earlier this week, Monday 28 November 2022 was the two-year anniversary of our review of "The Adjustment Bureau."  This is one of Todd's favorite reviews.  It has now been re-uploaded with slightly improved audio quality.
