Sheela Lal is a consulting manager who has spent the majority of her life caring about and working for others. With her deep activism roots in Missouri, Sheela now helps underserved Asian Americans populations in her new home state of Michigan through Rising Voices of Asian American Families where she sits on the board.

Sheela also is a natural leader and community organizer. She leads The Unerased Book Club, a gathering both in-person and digital to read and amplify Asian American authors. Sheela has also compiled a list of documentaries worth watching that feature Asian Americans either in front of or behind the camera. Also, she makes a great suggestion in using services like Zoom and Calendly to book time and catch up digitally with friends while he stay at home.
